FreeYourVote.net and the film “Held Hostage” were created by a group of volunteers who believe in change and wanted to inspire larger numbers of young people to get involved and to vote in this election and in every election.

While it is true that young voter participation is growing with the 2008 presidential primaries and election, imagine the progress in education reform, health care, the environment, and a world at peace, when politicians begin to realize that their sucess is largely dependent upon serving the needs of a voting block made up of the 66 million American voters under the age of 30.

We can envision masses of young people storming the polls at rates of 80% or 90%, and it is our belief that the spirit and consciousness of so many young voters would change the face of our country, and of the world.
